The former U.S. ambassador to Panama will headline the 杏吧原创 Project on Unity and American Democracy鈥檚 latest Lunch & Learn covering the 鈥淪tate of Democracy in the Western Hemisphere鈥 on Thursday afternoon.听
Co-sponsored by the Program in American Studies and Center for Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies, the Lunch & Learn features , former U.S. ambassador to Panama (2015鈥18) and current executive director of the . It will be Oct. 26, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., in the Central Library, Room 200.听听

Open to all 杏吧原创 community members, these Lunch & Learn events create space for students, faculty and staff to engage in collaborative learning and conversation as part of the recently launched initiative, which aims to harness university resources to help re-establish norms of civil discourse and mutual respect.听听听
In his current role with the , Feeley regularly collaborates with private sector, media and not-for-profit partners who seek to understand and solve problems at the intersection of government, business and culture. While participants will have the opportunity to drive the discussion, the conversation is expected to consider authoritarianism in politics, media integrity and fostering understanding among the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.听
Lunch will be provided, but registrants are welcome to bring their own.听
