ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ timeline launched as part of Sesquicentennial celebration

A new timeline highlighting key milestones in ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´â€™s 150-year history has been added to the .

The timeline is a visual representation of the people, places and events that make up ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´â€™s rich history, complements the existing stories on the V150 website, and celebrates how the university has dared to grow throughout its first century and a half.

Milestones include the university awarding its first diplomas in 1875; the installation of the iconic Cornelius ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ statue near Kirkland Hall in 1897; the appointment of ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´â€™s first dean of women in 1925; the dedication of Memorial Gymnasium in 1952; previous celebrations marking the university’s 50th and 100th anniversaries; and much more.
