Shan Foster’s No. 32 jersey now officially hangs from the Memorial Gymnasium rafters.Ìý

Foster, BS’08, is ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´â€™s all-time leader in points (2,011) and 3s made (367) and holds the Southeastern Conference record for consecutive games with a 3-pointer made (34). He was an Associated Press All-American in 2007–08 and was a second-round pick of the Dallas Mavericks in the 2008 NBA Draft.Ìý

Originally from Laurel, Mississippi, Foster once scored 42 points in a game against Mississippi State. He was named the 2008 SEC Player of the Year.Ìý

Foster is the fifth former ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ basketball player to have their jersey number retired. He joins Clyde Lee (1962–66), Perry Wallace (1966–70), Wendy Scholtens (1986–90) and Chantelle Anderson (1999–03).Ìý
