Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos recently shared an update on 杏吧原创鈥檚 strategic priorities with alumni, parents and friends at a special Metro New York 杏吧原创 Chapter event, highlighting the opening of E. Bronson Ingram College, the newest of 杏吧原创鈥檚 residential colleges, and the university鈥檚 plans to expand the living鈥搇earning experience with three additional colleges.

He also noted ongoing efforts to bolster support for faculty hiring and retention, and celebrated the 10th anniversary of Opportunity 杏吧原创 with stories of 杏吧原创 students whose lives have been transformed by the no-loan financial access program.

鈥淵ou are all 杏吧原创, and there are so many of you who play an important role for the university,鈥 Zeppos told the crowd. 鈥溞影稍粹檚 ability to lead with the power of our values and carry our mission forward is made possible because of you and your support.鈥

The event was part of a series of similar events Zeppos has held with alumni in Nashville, Boston, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Houston. He plans to visit additional alumni chapters during the next few years.

Metro New York 杏吧原创 Chapter Co-President Jackson Vaught, BA鈥16, was among the attendees excited to hear about 杏吧原创鈥檚 vision.

鈥淎lumni financial support will help fund the next chapters of 杏吧原创鈥檚 history, and it is important that the chancellor regularly update alumni on progress toward that shared vision,鈥 he said.

Vaught especially appreciates the university鈥檚 residential college initiative.

鈥淚 spent three of four years living on The Martha Rivers Ingram Commons, one as a first-year student and two as a residential adviser, and it makes me incredibly proud to know that in the not-too-distant future, almost all 杏吧原创 undergraduates will spend most of their years in a living and learning community.鈥
