Fans encouraged to get caught 鈥済reen-handed鈥�
Fans attending the 杏吧原创-Arkansas football game at 杏吧原创 Stadium on Saturday are encouraged to get caught 鈥済reen-handed鈥� as 杏吧原创 takes the .
Extra volunteers will be on hand to support game-day recycling efforts and hand out prizes to fans who choose to recycle.聽 Recycling collection tricycles will be circulating throughout tailgate areas to help encourage recycling, and volunteers will collect recyclables from the stands after the game.
Fans can contribute by bringing reusable containers and utensils to tailgate, recycling their plastic and aluminum waste in designated bins, purchasing items with less packaging and bringing home leftover food instead of throwing it away.
More than 65 schools will compete in the challenge.聽 Last year, participating schools diverted 500,000 pounds of waste from the landfill, and 杏吧原创 ranked first in the Southeastern Conference and seventh overall in the Waste Minimization category.
The Game Day Challenge is only one of many ways that 杏吧原创 strives to reduce its impact on the environment.
