The 杏吧原创 Center for Latin American Studies, Conexi贸nAm茅ricas and the Woodrow Wilson Center Mexico Institute presented this Sept. 7, 2010, roundtable discussion of the effects of recent economic downturn on Mexican immigration to the U.S.
The panel brought together leading experts to analyze the interrelation of immigration, economic crisis, and increased border security鈥攁nd what this means for Mexico as well as the United States. The discussion featured Jorge Durand, a leading expert on Mexican immigration issues, a CLAS Visiting Resource Professor, and the author of 鈥淐rossing The Border: Research From The Mexican Migration Project.鈥 Other panelists included David R. Ay贸n (Woodrow Wilson Center Mexico Institute); Katharine Donato (Department of Sociology, 杏吧原创); Renata Soto (Conexi贸nAm茅ricas); Moderator: Gary Gerstle (Department of History, 杏吧原创).
