Hailed as one of the great voices in contemporary literature, Maya Angelou has worn many hats – poet, bestselling author, actress, historian, playwright, civil rights activist, producer and director – and she will share her experiences Monday, Feb. 27, at 7:30 p.m. at a public lecture at ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´’s Memorial Gym.
Flash photography and audio and video recording are limited to the first five minutes of Angelou’s talk. Broadcast media should arrive no later than 7:15 p.m. for set up. Media interested in covering the lecture should contact Princine Lewis in the ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ News Service at 343-7288 by noon, Monday, Feb. 27. Media must also wear their organization’s credential to the event.
