NASHVILLE, Tenn. ñ ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ special education
researchers Steve Graham and Karen Harris were recently awarded the
2005 Council for Exceptional Children Special Education Research Award
at that organization‘s national convention April 6-9 in Baltimore, Md.
The award recognizes an individual or research team whose research
has made significant contributions to the body of knowledge about the
education of exceptional children and youth leading to improvements in
their education.
Harris and Graham came to ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ from the University of Maryland
in January 2005 as Currey Ingram Professors of Special Education and
Literacy. Their work focuses on educational interventions for students
with learning disabilities and other at-risk students. Graham is an
investigator in the ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ Kennedy Center for Research on Human
Development.
