NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Charlotte stockbroker James H. Morgan has been elected president of the ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ Alumni Association.
<A href=”http://www.vanderbilt.edu”>Morgan</A>, a 1969 graduate of ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´’s College of Arts and Science, is principal partner of the investment management firm Morgan Semones & Associates.
"Jim Morgan is one of our most distinguished and active graduates," said ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ Chancellor Gordon Gee. "He is a leader in business, in the community and now at ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´. I look forward to his involvement and counsel on behalf of ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´’s alumni around the world."
As president, Morgan presides over the Alumni Association board of directors, which works to further the university’s educational purposes through a mutually beneficial relationship between the university and its approximately 110,000 living alumni. Morgan will serve one year after which he will join the ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ Board of Trust.
Morgan is also a director of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc., and retired chief executive officer of IJL Wachovia.
